3 Stretches to Help You Grow Taller
There are many ways to help stimulate growing taller naturally but one of
the best methods is through stretching. Targeting the muscles in key areas, like your back, with repeated stretches will gradually strengthen them. This will lead to your spinal column lengthening due to a decompression of the invertebral discs.
There are plenty of different stretches that can be used to target these key areas but 3 of the best ones are listed here:
1. Trunk Twist
This stretching exercise is like the standard sit-ups we have all done. It focuses on strengthening the spine and abdominal muscles.
Start by sitting on the floor but anchor your feet beneath something heavy enough to help prevent you from moving.
Instead of performing a combination of sit-up and then twist, you’ll be only twisting for this exercise.
Lock both hands behind your head then raise yourself off the floor. Once in a comfortable position slowly twist your body with a rotating motion to one side to the other as far you can each time.
Start off doing this 10-15 times for each side and repeat this at least 5 times. Work up to 30 seconds for each set.
2. Roll Over Stretch
Your lower back is the target for this stretch and it will help to increase the flexibility in your back and legs.
First lie down with your back flat on the floor. Then begin to roll backwards until your feet touch the ground behind your head.
Try to keep your shoulders flat on the ground to help keep your balance.
Hold this position for 20-30 seconds and then resume the starting position.
3. Wall Bridge
This last stretching exercise starts by standing about two feet away from a wall with your back facing it.
Adjust your distance from the wall to make sure you’re close enough to reach it.
Slowly lean back until your hands are touching the wall over your head.
Using your hands slowly walk down the wall as far as your flexibility will allow. When you have reached your limit, slowly climb back up. Push off and return to your normal standing position.
This one is also a great way to stretch out your lower back.
These 3 great stretching exercises vary in both difficulty and physical requirements.
If these stretches work for you, add them into your regular exercise routine and you’re on your way to growing taller naturally.
